The scene is bliss, and it shows Invasion achieving its loftier emotional ambitions while also keeping its many pieces in motion, with unpredictable action of the human variety.

I’m not the biggest fan of McG and his work, but I’ll give this next movie of his a shot when it’s released. The best alien invasion movies show what will happen if were attacked by aliens.
The movie looks like it’ll offer some fun entertainment. As silly as found footage alien contact is, they make the concept work very well and makes great use of restricted camera angles and so on to amp up the uneasiness of the situation. The film focuses on a group of young teens who have to fight to survive an alien invasion that breaks out while they are at summer camp. I caught it on Netflix a year or so ago and loved it. ( Avatar may have been a gamechanging film for 3D, but “unobtainium”? Really?!?)
